Gas distribution charges are regulated by the AER, under a national framework.
Gas bills include many charges, including retail, wholesale, and network costs.
These charges are determined by an independent body, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). We are required to submit a proposal to them outlining the:
- services that we will offer
- costs associated with the provision of these services
- prices to be charged to customers over a five-year period.
This process is known as Gas Access Arrangement Review.
