Inclusion and Diversity Council
Our Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) Council is comprised of members of our Executive Leadership Team and representatives from each of our Employee Network Groups (ENGs). The Council’s purpose is to define our I&D strategy, monitor our progress and provide support and oversight for our ENGs.
Our Employee Network Groups (ENGs)
Our ENGs are employee-led communities set up to support our broader Inclusion and Diversity strategy by championing targeted issues and actions specific to their area of focus.
Our ENGs include:
- Women
- Accessibility & Neurodivergence
- Pride
- Cultural & Ethnic Awareness
- Early Careers Network
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
Connecting communities is at the heart of our purpose and strategy. Our RAP will enable us to continue to build great relationships, foster respect and create opportunities to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. While we acknowledge we are at the start of our RAP journey, we are proud of our commitment and look forward to partnering and engaging even closer with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Our Progress
As part of our commitment to transparency and disclosure of our diversity, equity and inclusion activities, we report our progress against our key goals.
We are proud of the progress we are making in gender equity. Here are our 2023 results reported to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA):
- 50% female Key Management Personnel (KMP)
- 31% female representation in total AusNet workforce
- 38% female representation on our Board
- 43% of external manager appointments were female
- 38% of external non-manager appointments were female.
